The next step in learning poker is to familiarize yourself with the betting process. The first betting round, called the pre-flop, is when the two community cards are revealed. Then, a third betting round is held after the fourth community card is revealed on the flop. Finally, a fifth and final betting round occurs after the river is revealed.
During the first betting rounds, players have an opportunity to check their own poker hands for blackjack. If they do not have blackjack, they will then be able to say stay, hit, or double up. If they want to double up, then they will have to bet an amount equal to the previous player’s contribution to the pot and their own bet. If they do not do this, then they must fold.
